Ballet Jörgen Canada: A Midsummer Night’s Dream – Capitol Season
“For years, I have dreamt of creating a Canadian-inspired version of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, set to Mendelssohn’s enchanting score. Today, I am thrilled to share that this dream is coming to life in a way that celebrates the breathtaking beauty of our country’s vast North.
Set beneath the shimmering Northern Lights and featuring the majestic wildlife of Canada, this ballet will weave together tradition and innovation—an ode to the magic of both Shakespeare’s world and the landscapes we call home. This production will delight everyone from 4-year-olds to 94-year-olds, bringing joy and wonder to communities across the country.”
