Home For the Holidays Winter Celebration of Family & Friends

We may not be back in The Civic Theatre yet, but we are at least going to be in The Civic Centre at the old Dance Umbrella/Tumbleweeds space for our annual FREE community, ‘Home For the Holidays’ event – Sunday, December 14th from 2-4pm.
Join us for an afternoon open house with games and prizes, another cartoon drawing lesson with professional animator Nathan Affolter, a short holiday movie and a visit from the big man in red from up North. And parents, warm up your vocal chords to compete in our first Reindeer Hollerin Contest!
Bring a food or cash donation for The Nelson Community Food Centre and take your free mini popcorn for a walk around the City’s newly renovated space, stop by the Osprey Foundation’s table and then learn all about The Civic Theatre’s exciting renovation plans from Cover Architecture that will be taking place over 2026.
