Polka Dot Dragon Lantern Festival

The Polka Dot Dragon Lantern Festival is a free community-based event that brings people together to make and experience festival art in mid-winter.  Bring a lantern and join us at 6 pm on Friday, February 6th at Hall St Plaza for performances including Corazon and Wild Rose Dance, followed by a parade down Baker St led by the Moving Mosaic Samba Band at 7 pm.  This will be followed by our usual evening of performances and installations at Lakeside Park from 5-7 pm.  On Saturday, February, 7th join us for performances and installations at Lakeside park from 5-7pm.  This year we are also offering an accessible performance matinee, for folks who would like to experience a smaller version of the lantern festival in the light, with less crowds.  It will take place before the general festival, from 3-4 pm on Saturday, February 7th.  Please register to attend the matinee on our website so we can better understand your accessibility needs.
