Update on Clayoquot logging, salmon farming, 100% Renewable Koots

Dan Lewis from Clayoquot Action in Tofino tells us how much of the Clayoquot old-growth forest HAS been protected. He also shares his concern about BC mining and the inaction of the government on the Mt. Polley spill. Finally the coast folks are very concerned about salmon farming all up and down the west coast of Vancouver Island. The Chinook salmon are nearly gone from Clayoqout. West Kootenay EcoSociety volunteer Erin Thompson brings an update on the 100% Renewable Kootenays campaign which already has half the signatures needed in the Nelson area. The EcoSociety is re-launching http://www.kootenay.ride-share.org, the great way to get a lift in BC, hosts Keith Wiley and Amanda Patt talk about the value of the rideshare service. As usual, Keith also brings his Environment News tidbits.
