Nelson is lacking when it comes to meeting demand for supporting housing for the homeless. That’s according to the Nelson Committee on Homelessness who published a recent report.
Rebecca Martin stopped by Kootenay Morning on Sep. 28 to chat a bit about that report and more.
“The main goal is about increasing awareness and understanding around homelessness,” Martin told KCR.
Three new affordable housing projects are currently on the docket and Martin said they could help alleviate demand.
