Nelson Waldorf School Winter Faire: A Celebration of Light and Community

Nelson, BC – On Saturday, December 6, 2025, in the darkest part of the year, the Nelson Waldorf School invites the community to their annual Winter Faire—a wholesome, natural celebration of the magical winter season and festivals of Light.

The school will be transformed into a Winter Village, offering families an enchanting day filled with handcrafted activities, artisan treasures, and seasonal warmth.

Activities and Attractions:

At Nature Crafts, visitors can create natural, handmade keepsakes to take home. Candle Dipping offers a silent, meditative experience that brings forth the inner beauty and peace of the season.

Children will delight in the Children-Only Store, filled with beautiful handmade gifts perfect for their own holiday shopping. Class 1 becomes the much-loved Cookie Kingdom, where children of all ages eagerly await stories from the King or Queen while choosing a special cookie.

The Silver King Artisan Market showcases local artists selling their handmade and natural wares. When hunger strikes, warm up with a nourishing solstice bowl or chai at the Rudolph Cafe in the Artisan Market, or venture out to the village fire for hot cider and wieners at the Fireside Cafe.

A Silent Auction will feature a range of donations from local businesses.

The Snowflake Village Theater will offer two presentations of a puppet show for younger audiences in the morning, followed by three storytelling presentations for slightly older audiences by Barry Gray throughout the afternoon ($3 per person). Music will fill the faire throughout the day.
