The snow has started to stick on the mountains — a tempting invitation to many itching to start the ski season. But Whitewater is reminding powderhounds to be patient for operations to officially begin.
Whitewater’s Rebekah Hornung shares the behind-the-scenes on operations, prepping for a pandemic season and the tickey lottery.
“As our resort is closed, we do ask that people don’t ski tour. It’s unpatrolled and unmarked. We do a lot of work to get that mountain open, to make it as safe as possible when we actually start sending people down the slopes,” Hornung said.
