Up In Smoke
The $14M Nelson Cannabis Collective is no more. But something else is in the air….
It was slated to be ground zero for BC Bud — and the future of Canadian cannabis.
The $14 million dollar Nelson Cannabis Collective was to be North America’s first craft cannabis cultivation, processing and retail facility in a city centre. Despite significant upheaval in the cannabis industry, global and regional supply chains issues and the myriad impacts of the pandemic, the NCC’s investor group had built a four-story superstructure on Nelson’s Government Road, issued a call for investment opportunities to the public a few months ago, and planned to open next year. But as of this week, the NCC plan is no more. Atleast for now.
Nelson Cannabis Collective principals Phil Pinfold and Mitchell Scott are with us today.
