A Friendly competition

93.5 FM Kootenay Co-op Radio and 103.5 FM The Bridge decided to have a friendly competition to see who could raise the most money for Coldest Night Of the Year, with the “loser” having to jump in the (cold) Kootenay Lake! The results are in: $2,245 for KCR vs $1,656 for the Bridge, or as we at KCR are now calling our neighbours, the Brrrrrr-idge! Trent Alcock, Captain for the Brrrr-idge team took a cold dip in Kootenay Lake in the days following the event. We are grateful to all the generous listeners who supported both radio stations and CNOY.

A Fundraiser for Nelson Cares

Each year, the Nelson CARES Society raises money with the annual CNOY event for the Ready for Home program that operates at Ward Street Place. The Ready for Home program provides resources to help individuals experiencing homelessness and helps residents remain housed and navigate the myriad of social support resources required to achieve a quality of life.
The funds raised on February 25th help those in Nelson that need it most. Please do your part. Every dollar matters.
