Most New Year’s Eve stories don’t make history. But for the folks aboard a barge on Slocan Lake in 1946, the sinking of a train — and narrow survival of the crew — is a night they’ll remember.
Now, a B.C. film crew hopes to share the tale with more people — and find the train. Filmmaker Colton Wilke joined KCR’s Kootenay Morning show on Oct. 28 to spread the word.
