Gabe Tyler was a teenager when he started his construction career. Thirty years later, the born and raised Nelsonite and his company, North Mountain Construction, have made their mark on Nelson’s ever-increasing skyline and footprint. Having built a number of exemplary private and public projects in town and elsewhere in the Kootenays, North Mountain received a Sustainability Award from the City of Nelson last month, the Kootenay Co-op and the Nelson Lions Club.
