Cottonwood Singers presents Vivaldi’s ‘Gloria’

Cottonwood Singers, under the direction of Noémi Kiss, invite you to start the holiday season with a celebration of great music with Vivaldi’s Gloria, to be performed at 7:30 pm on December 16th and 17th at Nelson’s St. Saviours Anglican Church, and at 2 pm on December 18th in Kaslo at St. Andrew’s United Church.
This beautiful, joyous choral work was written in 1715, and remains one of the most popular pieces from the baroque era. Soloists Kathleen Neudorf and Tamara SunSong will join Noémi Kiss in singing medieval and contemporary pieces that will compliment Vivaldi’s composition. Singer Dawn Madu will also join Cottonwood as a soloist.
The Gloria will be accompanied by a small orchestra of Nelson’s finest musicians, including instrumentalists Martine DenBok, Natasha Hall, Miranda Hughes, Jeffrey Faragher, Catherine MacKinnon, Dave Satanov, and Maureen Lewis.
