Kaslo Light Up Celebration!

The 34th Annual Kaslo Light Up Christmas Celebration is on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022.
Come and enjoy Christmas activities and fun for the entire family!
10am-4pm: Kaslo Christmas Faire – Shop local this holiday season! At the Kaslo Legion.
Christmas Colouring Contest – At the Treehouse Restaurant. Entries can be picked up and completed by December 10, or coloured and completed in house. Extending hours and revised menu until 6:00 pm.
2:00pm-3:30pm: Senior Hockey Action – The Kootenay Glacier Kings (60-65yrs BC Senior Games Gold Medalists) are playing the older half of the Kaslo After Burners at the Kaslo Arena. Admission by donation of a non-perishable food item for the Kaslo Food Hub.
3:30pm-5:30pm: Children’s Scavenger Hunt – Starting at the BlueBelle Bistro (and moving around the downtown area). This is meant for younger children accompanied by adults. Winners announced at the BlueBelle! Sponsored by Ready Set Learn funds and Pennywise.
4:00pm-5:00pm: Light Up Storytime – At the Kaslo Library. Read festive stories, do a craft, and enjoy cookies and cocoa. Enter to win a special holiday storybook.
6pm-8:30pm: Community Bonfire – at the top of Front Street, on the new library lot. Popcorn available. Christmas carolling around the fire led by singers in the community! Everyone welcome to join in. Firewood donated by Yogi Hincks.
Front Street Park public washrooms open.
From 5pm: Hot Chocolate & Hot Dogs – a 2023 Kaslo Grad fundraiser. In front of Kaslo Front Street Market.
6pm: Light Up Parade – 6pm sharp! Those wishing to participate should be in front of the SS Moyie by 5:45pm to allow the parade marshall time to organize floats.
6:30pm: Santa’s Workshop – Inside at the Kaslo Youth Centre space, 423 Front Street, in the Kootenaian Building. After the parade follow Santa and Mrs. Claus back down Front Street and meet them at their workshop! Hosted by the Kaslo and Area Youth Centre. Goodies for the children.
6:30-9ish: Winter Warm Up – Angry Hen Brewery. Enjoy the warmth of their bonfire, new winter warm up beer, and live music provided by The Poly Sonic Tonics. Hear the Kaslo Anthem Live! Kitchen open from noon – 7pm, tasting room open until 9pm. 343 Front Street.
