Kaslo Summer Music Series – PENNY SHADES, and TENISE MARIE

The Series continues with the Alt-Soul band Penny Shades and lovely Singer-songwriter Tenise Marie live at Kaslo Front Street Park Stage!
Penny Shades is a Alt Soul five-piece from Nelson BC, making music that is both sleek and raw. Rich, emotive vocals swoon over warm rhythm guitars, swift gospel keys, jazz-influenced bass lines, and R&B-flavoured back beats. Their sound is rooted in Modern Soul & R&B, and draws influences from Indie, Pop, Urban and Western music.
Tenise Marie is an Assyrian Canadian singer-songwriter who has emerged from the mystical forests of Argenta, BC. On a foundation of acoustic guitar and soulful vocals, she builds her songs with vision and care, singing “tenderly of love’s vagaries without lapsing into maudlin or cliché’ (Jamie Bliss, Kootenay Mountain Culture Magazine).
