Kootenay Yoga Festival

The Kootenay Yoga Festival aims to inspire radical acceptance and inclusion between all those who call the Kootenay Region home. We want to build a loving bridge between all towns and communities, all races and classes, and all age groups and genders while allowing the unique diversity of every individual to shine through. We commit to this by providing an open & compassionate space for healing, growth & expression. We will learn to take better care of each other as humans and become stewards of our natural spaces, learning to respect and protect our water, plants, trees and animals. We will come together to share skills, tools and awareness within our community and give importance to caring for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. We honour the voices and teachings of the local First Nations, Sinixt peoples. We respect and include all BIPOC & LGBTQ peoples through diverse education, arts and cultural offerings. We want to allow ALL individuals to attend via scholarships and provide fair-wage work opportunities. KYF will happen annually; however, we want this event to inspire more connections in our communities on a daily basis. We want to see individual and collective growth through the energies of love, compassion & and the foundational wisdom of yoga & wellness practices.
