Sinixt Confederacy’s Canoe Journey – Nelson Stop

9 am – Paddle to view pictographs and hold ceremony
Community is invited to join in/on non-motorized boats/boards
Launch point – end of airfield at Nelson Recycling Depot (Lakeside Dr.)
12:30 pm – Community lunch in front of the Capitol Theatre

Artisan market and live music with Tony Louie

Presentation – Dan Nanamkin & his dogs – stories, music
and screening of short films “Salishan Sturgeon-nosed canoes”
& “Resist. Reframe. Reclaim: Upper Columbia River”
3 pm – 5 pm – Inside the Capitol Theatre
Panel discussion – led by Shelly Boyd & Gail Higginbottom
& featuring panelists: Stevey Seymour, Donna Wright, Cindy Marchand & Brittny Anderson
and Screening of short films,

Presentation – attorney Mark Underhill speaking to the recent Sinixt supreme Court decision
