BC Culture Ambassador Zaynab Mohammed is hosting community writing and spoken-word workshops to influence her installation for the ‘New Echoes in the Staircase’ mural project at the Nelson Museum. The purpose of these workshops will be to introduce a new chorus of voices to the space and open dialogue about access and inclusion.
Workshops are held for Canadian immigrants, new Canadians, International Students, and children of immigrants. Participation to inform mural.; one session per person. Please email programs@nelsonmuseum.ca to register.
These are in-person events; a virtual session is also offered on Saturday, April 15 from 1-4 pm.
