A couple of years ago, visitors to the Kootenay Rockies tourism region generated $1.1 billion in gross visitor spending. It’s the region’s biggest economic sector. The Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association takes care of the sector. KRTA has operated since 1978. And as of late last year, the KRTA has a new boss — Executive Director Brad Parsell is with us today.
