He’s back.
Former MP Wayne Stetski will run for the NDP in the next federal election. He is the former mayor of Cranbrook and held office in the Kootenay-Columbia riding from 2015 t0 2020.
Stetski told KCR he misses engaging with the residents of the West Kootenay on the streets of Nelson and Kaslo and called out incumbent conservative MP Rob Morrison, saying Morrison does not spend the time he did in this part of the riding.
“I miss being in your communities. I miss sitting down and having coffee with you, saying hi to you in the streets,” said Stetski.
“and I know we’re in a different time and that COVID of course has limited many of our activities, but I will leave you with a question: how many times have you seen Mr. Morrison on the streets of Salmo, Ymir, Nelson, Kaslo, or anywhere in between?”
Pundits say a possible federal election could happen as early as this spring.
