Kootenay Morning: Interview with wildlife biologist and BC Conservation Officer Service on killing of grizzly bears

If you’re a regular listener to Kootenay Morning, you’ll know that one of our Local Journalism Initiative reporters, Jaime Frederick, has been following the story of the grizzly bear family here in Nelson, three of whom have been killed by the BC Conservation Officer Service (BCCOS) in recent weeks. Since the outset, Jaime has been pursuing an interview with the BCCOS and with those responsible for the decisions to kill the grizzly bears.
On Monday, August 31, Jaime interviewed wildlife biologist Garth Mowat, with the provincial Ministry of Water, Land and Resource Stewardship, and Andrew Milne, Deputy Chief with the BCCOS.
