It’s one of the most heartbreaking stories to rock our little town this year. As most Nelsonites know by now, last week two grizzly bears–a mother and one of her yearling cubs–were killed in the Nelson area by the BC Conservation Officer Service. On Monday, August 17, on Kootenay Morning, host Darren Davidson discussed the situation with Local Journalism Reporter Jaime Frederick, who broke the story and has been covering all aspects of it for Kootenay Co-op Radio.
