An independent report by a group of scientists urges the B.C. government to overhaul logging practices to protect B.C.’s at risk old-growth forest — 1.3 million hectares of it. What’s more, the report was created here in Nelson by three local forest experts. The name of the company is Veridian Ecological Consulting. And the experts who put all the work into the study are Dave Daust, Karen Price and Rachel Holt.
