The outbreak at Kootenay Lake Hospital has grown, as Interior Health confirms 17 patients have tested positive for COVID-19.
It was on January 1 that the hospital system closed its third floor for non-essential visits after 11 cases had been found in the hospital population, which has now grown with six additional infections.
The restrictions remain in place for visitors.
