New Kootenay Association of Realtors president says numbers are unprecedented
These are some extraordinary times in so many ways…ask anyone who’s tried to leave the big city for a more laid back lifestyle, with hopes to buy a home in idyllic small towns like those in BC’s Kootenay region.
The real estate market is more like an un-real estate market.
The region hasn’t seen this much interest, prices this high or inventories this low, ever.
Chuck Bennett is has been on the front lines of the local economy for years, a long time volunteer and a son of the city, raised here in Nelson.
He’s also the new president of the Kootenay Association of Realtors, and the former regional publisher for Black Press and many of its community newspapers throughout the Kootenays.
Bennett spoke with Kootenay Co-op Radio’s Kootenay Morning show about some astounding real estate numbers, his reflections on the print business, and running a family business.
