The wait for the results from the B.C. snap election is over, and Brittny Anderson has officially been declared the winner.
Anderson, who launched her political career only two years ago when she was elected to Nelson city council, said that experience informed her understanding of how government works. Of course, it also helped her know what it takes to win an election.
“Above all else, I think city council really taught me how to serve my community,” Anderson said.
While Anderson could technically hold both roles as MLA and city councillor, she does intend to resign from municipal politics. Check out our story on what a by-election could look like here in Nelson.
