As the wait for the results of the U.S. election continues, MP Rob Morrison reflects on how the Canadian government will work with the next president.
If indeed former Vice President Joe Biden is elected, the Democrats will be working with a Republican senate — much like, Morrison notes, the minority government Liberals are working with their opposition in the House.
On this side of the border, Morrison told KCR about how the changes to COVID precautions for incoming international travel could positively affect us here in the Kootenays.
“We rely on tourism for our snowcat, our heli-skiing, even our skiing, and snowmobiling,” he said. “Having the opening of the border to allow these international travellers to come into Canada is a huge asset for us. I’m really hoping that pilot is short-lived.”
