The pandemic has cancelled events virtually across the board in B.C. And the annual Community Connect Day in Nelson is no exception.
Usually, the event helps hundreds of people access free services — from a dental cleaning to a haircut to career help — that they couldn’t otherwise get.
The executive director of Nelson CARES, the organization that puts on Community Connect Day, shares what kind of impact the loss will have, and how our community can still connect.
