26 days. That’s how long Nelson’s Rob Little spent fighting COVID-19 in Trail’s ICU. The longtime Nelsonite stopped by Kootenay Morning on June 9 to fill KCR listeners in on his experience.
Little was taken to hospital after six days with a high fever. When he arrived his blood oxygen saturation level was at 67%. That’s the level that the organs start to fail, Little told KCR. He said the doctors were amazed he was conscious.
“It felt like my lungs were filling with water.”
