As we head into the May Long Weekend, everyone will be looking for a bit of a breather…the folks on Nelson City Council included. It’s been a very busy 15 months for elected officials and staff at the City.

Nelson Mayor John Dooley stooped by Kootenay Morning on May 21 to bang the gavel on a few of the city’s hot button issues, including a conversation happening at City Hall that could see CCTV cameras installed downtown.

The Mayor said the City is currently involved in doing its legal due diligence.

The Mayor also touched on the city’s E-Bike Program.
