As daily records of COVID-19 cases are surpassed on an on-going basis, a new health order was declared over the weekend to combat the rise in the Lower Mainland.

KCR’s legislative correspondent Jane Burton said the order on Nov. 7 covering the Vancouver Coastal Health and Fraser Health regions wasn’t too surprising.

The measures will be for two weeks, prohibiting social gatherings, group activities, and non-essential travel. While the measures don’t apply to the Interior Health region, residents are reminded not to travel if it is not essential.
