New season on KCR!
A new season is upon us, and as usual KCR has a diverse blend of shows. With new programmers ranging in age from 17 to 70, four new shows will debut this spring season.
Below is Marcus, one of the new hosts. Marcus is a screen printer and runs a screen printing studio in Nelson in the basement of AFKO, the West Kootenay Francophone Association. When not working in the studio, he hosts Tracing Roots on Thursdays at 11 p.m.
New shows:
Alternate Musicverse – (Wednesdays at 9pm) Helping you nurture your hankering for anything alternative rock, from post-punk to new wave, indie rock and more.
Tales from the Tape – (Thursdays at 4pm) Join Angelia on the musical discovery through a 17-year-old’s eyes, of lyrical brilliance, fire beats, twisted genres, and a century of musical works through the decades.
Tracing Roots – (Thursdays at 11pm) Paying homage to the drum sampler, the found object, used and re-used art to create anew.
Verses (Fridays at 11:30am) – Host Catherine Linley takes you on a stream-of-consciousness, spoken-word poetic journey.
