Reo’s will reopen on Hall St. in the former Chamber of Commerce Building on March 17
Well you might not be able to attend a movie theatre at the moment, but Reo’s, a longtime Nelson cultural institution and an anomaly in the world of the media giant Netflix, will reopen its doors. That announcement comes thanks to some help from the Nelson Civic Theatre and exactly a year after it closed up shop at the onset of the Global pandemic.
May Tin, the Marketing Director at the Civic Theatre and Reo’s owner Cole Johnstone stopped by Kootenay Morning on March 10 to chat about the last year and the new brick and mortar location.
Johnstone told KCR he always envisioned a reopening of sorts and that he has been tremendously grateful for the support from the Civic.
Tin called it, “a match made in cinema heaven.”
The new location will open March 17 and be located on Hall st. in the former Chamber of Commerce building. The building was more recently the Focused Life Force Energy (FLFE) HQ.
