What a pleasure to have Aaron, Tamias, Jade, Jake, Nico and Krispen for a very special edition of KCR LIVE! These very talented musicians are between the ages of 16 and 17 and attend L.V Rogers High School in Nelson. During the one-hour show, host Antoine Bonaparte asked them about their influences and their musical journey. In the 2020/21 school year they were led by trumpeter Michael Perkins and recorded a CD, as there were no options for live performances.
For the 2021/22 school year, they were joined by Krispen on saxophone (the adult in the room!)
The band rehearses once a week after school and is eager to perform live for jazz-loving listeners and dancers.
LVJ5 will be at Kootenay Co-op Radio Block Party on May 28, 2022
