Shawn Hook - Homecoming

We are excited to welcome back to The Bailey Stage local artist, and internationally known performer, Shawn Hook with his Band as part of the Silver City Days celebrations on Sat. May 9!

Shawn Hook began his musical journey at a very young age, learning piano, bass, and trombone, singing in a choir, and enrolling in music composition class in high school. Born Shawn Hlookoff in the Kootenays, British Columbia, he started college as a Geological Engineering major before committing full-time to music. He transferred to the Art Institute in Vancouver, studying Audio Engineering and playing in a disco cover band called Shag.

Shawn Hook writes from the heart. His songs are a product of soul-searching and an unwavering desire to spread hope in our uncertain world. This shines true on the first single “It All Comes Back to You” featuring German Pop artist Emily Roberts, off his upcoming album on Vancouver based label Crank Music. As a renowned pianist and adept songwriter, Shawn has crafted a name for himself on the world stage.

His global audience extends to the hundreds of millions and he has shared the stage with international superstars The Weeknd, Shawn Mendes, The Chainsmokers, Camila Cabello and more.

One of the most successful Canadian artists of the past few years, Shawn Hook’s undeniable combination of slick vocals, touching lyrics and tight production sees him deliver yet another memorable hit.The JUNO Award Nominee’s accolades include the Allan Slaight Music Impact Honour Award and multiple double-platinum singles such as, “Sound of Your Heart” and“Reminding Me” featuring Vanessa Hudgens.

Away from the limelight, Shawn is a quiet philanthropist, eagerly devoting time to charity events as well as sitting on The Unison Fund board of directors.

Luke Wallace - Live At The Langham

Luke Wallace brings his politically charged, heart-forward folk songs to The Langham on Friday, April 25, for an intimate evening of music, stories, and community. Drawing on a decade of touring from the Vancouver and beyond, Luke’s songs trace the front lines of climate justice, social movements, and everyday hope, inviting audiences to sing along and imagine a better world together.
Luke has performed hundreds of concerts across North America, from major folk festivals to the 2023 United Nations Water Conference,
using his music as a rallying cry for people and the planet. His latest album, The Dandelion Resistance, continues this work with memorable choruses and stories that linger long after the last note.

ALL TOGETHER NOW: A Community Singing Event with Luke Wallace

Luke Wallace is a dynamic force in the world of folk music, using his talent as a songwriter, speaker, and choral arranger to champion environmental causes and inspire positive change. Presented by West Kootenay Climate Hub and Earth Days Nelson & Area, ALL TOGETHER NOW is a mix between a song circle and performance. Part concert and part audience harmony workshop, this evening of collective music brings voices together in soidarity and love for the Earth.

Luke is like a modern Pete Seeger. From the moment he hits the stage, he has the audience singing about positive change. We desperately need that and we need him on stages all across our Country right now! He doesn’t back down but he doesn’t alienate people either. He’s a perfect voice for right now.” - Doug Cox
