20 YEARS. 1000 VOICES. ONE COMMUNITY.
Ever wondered what the people behind the mic look like? Who they are? What makes them tick? We’ve got you covered.
WAYNE KING
Wayne King. Enough Said. He’s the heart of KCR. The consummate man behind the mic bringing well, something that’s never quite the same. Aliens. Birds. Lizards. What tunes to do you want to listen to? No matter what it is, Wayne’s got you covered. A theme is about the only thing that’s consistent. The Wayner tries to play a little bit of everything. Former station manager Jay Hanelly encouraged Wayne to get going six years ago, and voila. Wayne has become a KCR staple.
Wayne is a guitar player. A staple at Packrat Annies. And has always got something to share with our great listeners.
In partnership with the Nicole Purvis feature spotlights that have been airing Wednesday mornings on #kootenaymorning – we’ve decided to showcase some of the amazing people who make KCR what it is. Below find a quick Q+A with some of the people behind the mic who make CJLY so special.
Catch the Other Wayne King Show Tuesdays at 10pm and Saturdays at 8pm with the Wayner 🤟 The other one…
