A new exhibit from Touchstones-Nelson will shine a light on Kootenay queer history.

Museum curator Arin Fay stopped by Kootenay Morning on April 23 to fill KCR in.

Fay told KCR that the West-Kootenay is far from immune from the currents of intolerance that have impacted queer folk the world over.

“There’s a little bit of a bubble factor in Nelson,” Fay told Kootenay Morning Host Darren Davidson. “We live in such a beautiful place that I think that there’s a conception that everything is easier, and better, and different here … the same currents that affect every other part of the world with intolerance and racism and people being marginalized, happens here just as much.”
