Sponsorship Coordinator Job Description – October 2019
Kootenay Co-op Radio is a Nelson-based community radio station serving communities in New Denver, South Slocan Valley, Crawford Bay, and the greater Nelson area. Our small, but mighty team of paid staff, work with over 100 volunteers to offer an eclectic range of music and current affairs programming that reflects the diversity of the West Kootenay region.
We are currently seeking a part-time Sponsorship Coordinator (on contract) to help us re-boot our sponsorship program, and sell a mix of on-air advertisements (spots), show sponsorships, as well as develop strategic partnerships (suppliers of goods/services in exchange for spots or sponsorships) with local businesses, organizations, and festivals. The ideal candidate will be a highly-personable multi-tasker with a knack for organization.

Job Details
Duration of contract: 3 month position with possibility of renewal.
Number of hours per week: 10-15 hours, including a number of dedicated hours in KCR’s Nelson office.
Rate of pay: Salary $15 + 15% commission on sales
Requirements: Phone, Home office, Computer, Driver’s Licence/access to a vehicle (all expenses related to the supply and maintenance of such tools and equipment is the responsibility of the contractor)
