CASTLEGAR SCULPTUREWALK NIGHT OF FIRE

A celebration of artistry and community spirit, this event is a safe place for peoples of all cultures, genders, ages and abilities.
Kicking off with seasonal holiday tunes from the Brass Carolers, it will follow with the presentation of our Awards, and followed by the burning of a large custom-built fantastical sculpture created by former People’s Choice winners, Argenta artists Spring Shine, Christopher Petersen & Yvonne Boyd.
Parking: there is limited parking around the location site –
additional parking is available along 5th Avenue, or you can
park at the Millennium Park parking lot and walk over
(the Castlegar Arts Council will be starting their lantern walk
there to the site at 5:30)
Timeline:
5:45-6:10: Brass Carolers
6:10 – Indigenous Welcome
6:15 – Welcome by Sculpturewalk ED
6:20 – Awards by Mayor Maria McFaddin
6:30 – Lighting of Sculpture (this takes about 20 minutes total)
7 – Event end
