Christians in the Holy Land

Nelson United Church will sponsor an information session on Israel – Palestine on
Saturday, December 14 th from 1 – 2:30 p.m. We will show the documentary “The
Stones Cry Out” and hear from Amira Musallam, a Christian leader living in Bethlehem.
There will be an opportunity to write advocacy letters.
The aim is to deepen people’s knowledge and awareness of the lived reality of the
Christian community in the Holy Land, particularly during the last 14 months. Canadian
Christian leaders including the United Church Moderator Dr. Carmen Lansdowne, have
urged people to actively advocate for a just peace in Palestine and Israel, especially
during this holiday season. Many long to do so but feel paralyzed by the lack of
knowledge and unsure of how to make a positive difference. If this is you, this is the
presentation you have been waiting for.
Admission Fee: $10 or by donation
Donations will go to Sabeel, a Palestinian Ecumenical Liberation Theology Centre
