Comic Jam and Mini Tutorials

What’s a comic jam you ask? It’s a free-flowing way to make comics in a group setting! Join BC Culture Days ambassador Erin Shuttleworth at the Trail’s IncrEdible Farmer’s Market on Sept 23 for several FREE micro-workshops hosted by local artists and organizations. Each station will have the option for “take home” workshops if the crowd atmosphere becomes a barrier. Participants will be given a panel to illustrate and add to the evolving narrative. If coming in person is inconvenient or inaccessible, or if you would like a refresh after the event, all workshops will be made available online.
BC Culture Days’ ambassadors are planning FREE, access-focused arts events across the province! Guided by the theme of AIR (access, inclusion, and resilience), each event is created under the creed that creativity, artistic exploration, and collaborative artmaking are for everyone. The A/I/R Ambassador Series celebrates accessibility and community care, while inspiring liberating, creative experiences for all arts and culture lovers and goers alike.
