Deep Sea Dreamscape Group Bicycle Ride

Are you feeling stuck indoors due to the cold winter weather? Check out Polka Dot Dragon Arts Society Lantern Festival – a free community-based event that brings people together to make and experience festival art in mid-winter. This event gives people the opportunity to experience the arts in a non-traditional setting and participate in a non-traditional ways. For example, by decorating your bicycle and creating a rolling art installation.
West Kootenay Cycling Coalition has teamed up with lantern festival organizers to include a kinetic component this year!
SATURDAY | FEBRUARY 10th
Join our frosty yet fun group ride to Lakeside Park on Saturday, February 10th. Decorate your bike with lights, lanterns or wear a costume. Meet at the Nelson Visitor Centre, Railway Station at 4:30 pm. Enjoy FREE hot chocolate to kick-off our ride (Courtesy City of Nelson and Doctors and Nurses for Planetary Health in support of winter cycling). Help reduce waste and bring your own reusable mug. Ride departs at 5:00 pm.
