Instruction and dance will be led by Ivan Touko, Dancefusion artist in residence. Ivan Touko, also known as Amöûgįvan, is a multidisciplinary artist, movement facilitator, and Selectah DJ rooted in Afro x Latin diasporic traditions and Ubuntu philosophy. Bamiléké from Cameroun and based in Edmonton, he fuses together dance, music, mindfulness, and somatic practice into experiences that help people feel grounded, free, and connected. Through Groove Activations with Ivan, he leads workshops across Canada and internationally that blend Afro, Caribbean and Latin movement with embodied wellness.
