Harrop Wetland Workday

You are invited you to our next Harrop Wetland Workday happening this Saturday, October 18! We’ll be out at the wetlands from 10:00–12:00 AM, continuing our seasonal management efforts—and we’d love for you to join us.
This weekend’s work will include:
planting native shrubs and grasses within this season’s treatment areas
This is a great opportunity to learn about wetland ecology, connect with neighbours, and help protect an important local habitat. No experience is needed—just a willingness to get involved and get your hands dirty!
Meeting Location:
Harrop Wetlands Trailhead (just before Sunshine Bay Riding Club – 6369 Erindale Road)
Time:
10:00 AM – 12:00 AM
What to Bring:
Water, warm layers, rain gear, snacks, your favourite planting shovel if you have one
Dress in layers – the weather is looking crisp, but it can be warm while working
What we’ll Provide:
We’ll have snacks, Warm tea, work gloves, shovels, and FoKLSS stickers for everyone who joins us!
If you’ve been propagating or transplanting native plants at home, we’d love to invite you to bring them to the wetland in the fall as part of our planting effort. It’s a beautiful way to build a personal connection, but we also have many plants ready to go in the ground!
