Due to the extreme cold predicted for tomorrow (-21c) KORTS has decided to cancel the Solstice event.
We are concerned for the safety of our volunteers who need to work in the cold all afternoon.

Mark your December 21 Winter Solstice calendar for a double event day:
- KORTS – Kaslo Outdoor Recreation and Trails Society Winter Solstice Celebration and Social 4pm-6pm at the Unity Bridge south side
- Festival of Light 5:30pm-8pm at the Lighthouse Beach.
KORTS invites all and everyone to join in the fun and festivities at the annual KORTS Winter Solstice Celebration and Social, then take your lantern or light for a walk to the independently hosted Festival of Light.
Parking at the Kaslo River South trailhead situated behind the / west of the Kaslo Village Shop, and on the north side of the Unity Bridge on Higashi Way / 5th Ave.
Bonfires, hot chocolate and apple cider (bring your own Go Cup please), cookies, friends, families.
Tents and Bridge for cover if it rains or snows.
FREE!….donations kindly accepted.
