Kootenay Savings Music in The Park with The Steve Marc Band and The Latin Lovers

On July 30, Kootenay Savings Music in The Park hosts The Steve Marc Band and The Latin Lovers for a danceable night of great vibes from 6:15 to 8 pm at Gyro Park.
The Steve Marc Band is a high-vibrational world/reggae/funk fusion band from the Kootenays. They deliver soulful, danceable grooves infused with messages of peace, unity, and healing. Feel good music that uplifts the spirit, moves the body, and opens the heart.
Featuring a small but mighty horn section and luscious harmony background vocals, Steve’s unique songwriting prowess will move you in more ways than one. This six-piece band brings fun, love and energy to the stage with creative arrangements of cover songs known and unknown, mixed in with mostly original songs you will surely come to love.

The Steve March Band is: Steve Marc Gosselin – Guitar, Vocals, Compositions, Arrangements; Jamie Kallin – Bass; Max Jones – Drums; Ron Butler – Trumpet; Sarah Sordi – Vocals, Percussion; and DIEMM – Vocals, Harp, Percussion.
The Latin Lovers are a fiery, wildly entertaining, Latin Band from the West Kootenays, whose music is Latin Fusion; inspired by a variety of traditional rhythms, like Cumbia, Flamenco, Tango and more. With a mix of original songs and well-known Spanish covers, these beats make you dance.
They play an outstanding array of instruments: didgeridoo, pan flute, harmonica, accordion, brass, congas, bongos, alternative percussion, and so much more. Seven extremely dynamic musicians make up THE LATIN LOVERS band to light the stage on fire!
Delivering a unique performance that celebrates the vibrant Latin culture what sets them apart is their interactive approach, inviting the audience to participate by adding harmonies to songs and providing shakers for everyone to join in the musical experience.
The Latin Lovers are Juan Rizzatti (lead vocals, guitar, pan flute, harmonica, accordion, didgeridoo); Vern Wakunick (vocals, timbale, shakers, guiro, claves, tambourine, ago-sha); Ryan Telegdy (guitar); Trevor Scott (congas, bongos, djembe, tabla); Carl Redden (trumpet, trombone, vocals); Mike Roy (bass, vocals); and Darryl Hosquet (drums).

There’s plenty to look forward to this season as every Thursday until August 13, as at least two music acts perform, making it the perfect opportunity for family, friends and visitors to get together outside and listen to great live music in beautiful Gyro Park.
Be sure to put our special events in your diary. Don’t forget the Friday night beach dance party, Music in the Dark, on August 7 from 7:30 to 10 pm. Plus, our popular Night Market closes out the season on August 13 from 5-8:30 pm with music, food and Trail’s Incredible Farmers Market.
So, bring a lawn chair and your dancing shoes for a Summer of live music in the park!
Admission is by $5 suggested donation per person at Gyro Park.
Please note that entrance for Music in the Dark is $10. Buy online or at the park. This is a no alcohol event recommended for ages 15 and up.
