Lalin Concert and Museum Sound Installation
Nelson Museum, Archives & Gallery transforms Gallery A into an immersive sonic experience as the Lalin Vocal Ensemble returns for its much-anticipated annual installation. Surrounded by 60 voices, audiences are invited into the centre of a living, breathing, encounter with sound.
This year’s installation, generously supported by the CKCA and Columbia Basin Trust, expands beyond the gallery walls. In the museum’s turret entrance, a recorded soundscape weaves together community voices reflecting on belonging, paired with a woven tapestry made from contributed fabrics in a tangible expression of many stories becoming one.
**Advance tickets are available exclusively to museum members beginning Tuesday April 7th at 10 AM – if you’ve been meaning to become a member of NMAG, now is the moment!
Non-Member public sales open Thursday April 9th at 10 AM. Last year’s tickets sold out within an hour of public release.
Tickets are $15 (cash only, in person at the museum, with a limit of four per person.
The experience is 20 minutes long.
Performances at 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30, and 3:00.
