Manuscript Workshop

“YOU’VE FINISHED YOUR MANUSCRIPT, NOW WHAT?” WORKSHOP AT NELSON LIBRARY AUGUST 15
A workshop presenting the steps from a final manuscript draft to a finished book will be held at the Nelson Public Library, 602 Stanley St, on Saturday, August 15 at 3 pm.
The event is free and open to the public.
The workshop will be led by Barbara Bloom, a Vancouver editor, children’s author and publishing services consultant. She has worked for publishers Simon & Schuster and Wayne State University Press, managed independent and specialty bookstores, and founded Bloom Ink, which provides editing and publishing services to writers, publishers, and businesses.
“You’ve finished your manuscript, now what?” Bloom asked. Her workshop walks writers through the progression from manuscript to finished book.
“Whether interested in self-publishing or in pursuing traditional publishing,” Bloom explained, “writers will come away from this workshop with a better understanding of the publishing process and their options.”
