Resilience Café #1 Understanding Complex Systems: The Foundation of Climate Resilience
February 26 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

In this interactive webinar “café”, Selkirk Innovates researcher Jayme Jones and Liberating Structures co-creator Keith McCandless will explore insights from complexity theory and introduce tools that will help us grasp the nature of complex systems.
Understanding complex systems can help us navigate our rapidly changing world and better prepare us to successfully approach pressing challenges like the climate crisis, homelessness, increasing rates of catastrophic wildfires, and political dysfunction.
Join us for this thought-provoking, interactive experience that will broaden your perspective and empower you to make more informed choices in an ever-changing world. By learning how to distinguish between different types of problems (complicated vs. complex) we’ll gain valuable skills in decision-making and become better equipped to tackle today’s complex issues.
About the Resilience Café
This is the first in a series of interactive webinars, where we’ll explore local solutions for a rapidly changing world. Be part of building a stronger, more resilient community through our wide-ranging conversations on local climate, culture, environment, and our interconnected world.
