Reuse/Repair/Recycle Cafe

A Repair Café is a community event where people can bring broken or damaged items to be fixed for free with the help of skilled volunteers. This event will be part of the Nelson Earth Days(earthdaysnelson.ca) celebration. We’re expecting guest organizations, including the Rossland Refactory and the Selkirk Technology Access Centre, to join us and share information about their work.
Rossland Refactory: a plastics recycling facility that is under the umbrella of the Kootenay Outdoor and Environmental Learning Society based in the Rossland/Trail area
Selkirk Technology Access Centre: home to highly specialized equipment and research teams in the areas of advanced manufacturing, computing, GIS and natural resource management
