Uplifting Community

Out on Screen presents Uplifting Community: A film screening of four short films that celebrate different ways that community comes together. Each film will be followed by a brief Q&A between presenters and audience.

With Love, Lottie: When Lottie, a disabled teen, worries that love isn’t in the cards, she turns to her friends for dating advice—only to discover that love doesn’t always follow the rules.
Becoming Ruby: Canada’s first drag artist-in-residence Ruby Chopstix blazes a trail in Winnipeg, uplifting queer BIPOC performers and taking up space.
Schuyler Bailar: Schuyler Bailar is a decorated swimmer and the first publicly documented NCAA D1 transgender man to compete as a man in any sport. He was recruited to Harvard as a female athlete and transitioned while continuing to compete and advocate for trans inclusion.
